DIY Button Bow Tie inspired by Morning Creativity

I have so many buttons, literally jars of them, and I keep trying to find new ways to use them up. I found this amazing blog with loads of suggestions (you should so check it out) and the bow tie was too cute not to try. Image

This is extremely simple to make and only took me about an hour.

you need:

Wire (I used thin silver wire)

11 buttons

a paperclip

  1. Lay out the buttons in a bow tie shape, and use the thin wire to tie them together. There is no ‘right’ way to do this, just thread the buttons on the wire.
  2. Glue the ends of the wire to the back of a button so they won’t unravel.
  3. Bend the paperclip into a hook shape and glue to the back of the center button.
  4. Wear with pride

I got a little carried away with the photos, I want to make another one in different colours
